Everything can be deleted, even the Recykle Bin:
On your desktop,
you can delete everything BUT the Recykle Bin. This is of course because you
wouldn't be able to delete any files AND because the Recykle Bin doesn't know
where when you delete it :P So, under no circumstances you can
delete it, but there is a way to remove it from your desktop, or hide it. You
may have to show it again to empty it. Anyways...
Browse to this
key in the Registry Editor:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}.
The key called
"{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}" is the one that shows the
recykle bin. If you remove this one, the Recykle Bin will be deleted from your
desktop. I suggest you export it first by rightclicking on it if you want to
show it again at a later time. Make a backup!
When deleted you
just refresh your desktop and it should dissapear.
